This family friendly contest of paddling and fishing encourages a dad to rig for extra stability so his youngster can participate too.

Paddling contest Prizes will be for the top five point winners.
Fishing winners will be determined by the longest fish of any species. One fish per contestant. Top 3 longest fish will win very cool trophies/medals.
Prizes: Top five point winners choose from the selection of quality gear according to placing.
All participants receive a 20% Discount Certificate for accessories at the Silent Gide Canoe and Kayak Shop.
Registration by June 10th is $30. Registration after June 10 is $50. Youth under 14 with a legal parent or guardian are $15.
In the event of persistent thunder storms or tornado warnings the event may be delayed, rescheduled or canceled. If canceled, registration fees will be returned. Rescheduling may be possible. There can be no other reasons for refunds.
Paddling Contest winners will be determined by the total accumulated points as described in the contest explanation.
1)Fishing winners will be determined by their longest fish. Only one fish will be counted per participant.
2) Treasure hunt All participants will be given a map and must return with a one tag from each of three stations. Two additional bonus stations and tags will be available for an additional (15 points each). Bonus tags will be numbered and correspond to a Treasure prize even if participants don't place among the top 5.
3) Boat handling skill bonus Once back at the weigh-in area with time, tags and length of fish recorded, each registrant will be able to choose and demonstrate one boat handling skill from a list of choices for bonus points. Examples are; getting a floating, greased ball into the boat using bare hands without getting out of the boat to do it, or making three successful casts into a hula hoop from your boat while standing, etc. For bonus points to count the skill must be completed to the judges' satisfaction before the 12:30 p.m. tournament conclusion. (Maximum of 20 points)
4) Elapsed Time Bonus 10 bonus points will be awarded for each 15 minutes participants arrive and check in before 12:30 p.m. deadline (up to a max of 40 points).
