| This is a crossover, wood frame with copolymer decking and high tech bindings. I tried it out and was very impressed. The bindings are the easy ratcheting type that are unique in their ability to fit and hold your foot comfortably. The result is a lightweight, reasonably quiet shoe that grips the snow well and gives great flotation. Even in it's large size this snowshoe feels smaller when walking than other snowshoes of similar flotation; this is especially evident in the 11x40. Itlooks unique and is a lot of shoe for the money. Another great shoe for large people in the 11x40. The same features work well in the smaller sizes for those who don't need as much flotation.
